Who are you?

My name is Justin Kessel

What do you do at Accuraty?

I program a variety of different applications and websites.

What do you really do at Accuraty?

No, seriously, I write code. But I am also seen around the office trying to make it a fun place to work at. I try to plan social outings/gatherings and such as well, but that is wonderfully becoming more of a group effort.

How long have you been with Accuraty?

1 year and 3 months

What did you do before coming to Accuraty?

I worked on a web based e-commerce project for NetworkSolutions in the St. Louis area (formerly known as MonsterCommerce).

What do you like about working at Accuraty and why?

I love the light atmosphere and laid back mentality we have. But I mainly love that we have that environment, which is great to work in, and we get things done timely and at high quality. It’s a great definition of “work hard/play hard.”

What do you do in your free time?

I record and perform original and cover songs. I usually make a fool out of myself on my YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/lennit) and I am working on my first CD which will be released sometime in 2011. Music is pretty much my passion. I also try to play some video games, or go to a contra dance here and there. My interests vary greatly.

What’s one thing you can’t live without?

If it wasn’t obvious before, it totally has to be music. It’s such a wonderful way to express emotion, or to feel emotion.  Certain songs can make one happy or make them cry. Very few things have that immediate power. Plus, I just love to sing and play guitar. Without that, I don’t know what I would do.
